The association tailors the structure and curricula of its training programs to the constantly changing societal needs, main European and international educational trends, new developments in methodology, and realistic therapeutic requirements. The five members of the Training Committee are responsible for program accreditation, developing a training schedule, implementing training courses, and overseeing the examination process.
Current members of the Training Committee:
Dr Katalin BARÁT (Head of Training Committee), Dr Klára BALOGH, Gabriella BLÁGA, Dr Magdolna MORETTI, Dr Mária TARI.
Beside the Training Committee, our Trainers Forum holds together the association’s trainers who share their training and further training related experience regularly . They organize lectures, courses and workshops, and prepare and implementi the scientific programs of yearly conferences organized by the association. The association is based in Budapest, but trainers work in other regions as well. The most important centres outside Budapest are Debrecen, Pécs and Szeged. In these centres, just like in Budapest, the theory and practice of family therapy are taught at colleges and universities. Beside training, graduate and post-graduate courses for psychologysts, they organize training courses for family doctors, social workers, teachers, family counsellors and the employees of various support organizations and also take part in the supervision of professionals at organizations that provide family assistance.
In family therapy ’field work’ is never a lonely endeavour. Somethimes therapists work on their own in their private practice, but co-therapy and cooperation in the form os supervisory groups is more common. The following Training Institutions operate within the association:
Családi Szolgálatok Ligája Alapítvány (Budapest) since 1999 (Accredited by EFTA)
Megújulás Családterápiás Intézet (Pécs) since 2002 (Accredited by EFTA)
Budapesti Családterápiás Kiképző Intézet (BUCSAKI) Accreditation: EAP 2004-, EFTA 2005-.
